  • Software Project Competition


    We welcome all technophiles and coding zealots to mould out your novel ideas into the efficacious software projects and challenge the drastically increasing power of hardware in this battle of “Open Software”


    Problem Statement:

    Open Software invites all the software wizards to bring any software designed, developed and coded by them only. Participants have the liberty to choose any language for coding. Also they can take any of these platform Windows / Unix / Linux. Software which has been or is being used commercially is not acceptable. The participant will have all rights over his/her software. Source code shall not be made open to anyone except the judges, if the participant desires so.

    Rounds for contest:

    1) Screening round
    2) Final Demonstration round

    For screening round a pre-event abstract should be submitted according to the format at:codenza@pragyaa.org

    Shortlisted teams will have to present their software on the event day.

  • Register:

    To register for this event, Each member of the team should have UNIQUE PRAGYAA REGISTRATION ID (UPR-ID).

  • Rules:


    1. A team should consist of maximum of 3 members. Students from different educational institutes can form a team.
    2. For screening round (WHICH IS ONLINE), a pre-event abstract, according to abstract format should be sent to the E-mail codenza@pragyaa.org with the subject 'Open Software Abstract'
    3. The last date of the submission of abstract will be 10th March, No late entries will be allowed .
    4. Short listed teams will be informed through mail. A list of short listed teams will also be displayed on the Pragyaa website.
    5. Only the participants who qualify in the screening round are eligible for the final round to be held in Pragyaa.
    6. Participants who qualify the screening round will have to bring a soft copy of the software along with a well documented hard copy of the code.
    7. On a single chart paper, the team should explain their software with the help of flow charts, figures, diagrams and relevant material. (A detailed report of the software may also be brought.)
    8. The report along with the chart mentioned above will have to be submitted to the competition coordinator at the time of the competition. (Please note that this chart will be used for public display at the time of the competition.)
    9.Coordinator’s decision will be final.
